Subscription to Thread E-mails for Posts

Why would I get an e-mail (actually I received 2) indicating that I had a new post (see below)? When I go to the page there isn't anything there except for may original question (which has yet to be answered).

Re: Subscription to Thread E-mails for Posts

Hello, abentley -

There are two things that can result in your getting an email when somebody replies to a post:

  • When you are creating the post, there is a checkbox in the lower left corner of the input area for "E-mail me when someone replies."  It's right near the "Post" button.  To see if it is checked, go back to your original message and select "edit message" from the "Options" drop-down at upper right. Just uncheck the box if you need.

  • There is also an option to "subscribe" to a thread in the "Thread options" drop down at the upper left of a message/thread. You can manage/unsubscribe your threads by going to "My Profile."

Hope this helps!  If not, let me know and I'll try to ferret out the problem.

Thanks for your contributions.

Mike
