Welcome to the Pitney Bowes User Forum! Please take a moment to introduce yourself. What kind of organization do you work for? What kind of mailing equipment do you manage? What brought you to the forum? Is this your first forum experience - or are you a regular? And what do you like to do when you're not thinking about all that?
I'll kick it off in the next post - hope to hear from all of you!

I saw my first internet discussion group so long ago that the letters streaming over my 300 baud modem appeared on the screen about as fast as you could type with one hand tied behind your back. But I was hooked. In the late '80's, I was a "conference host" on The Well, the granddaddy of all discussion forums - and, many would say, still the champ. It was a wonderful, wide-ranging and free-wheeling salon where you could find good conversation on any topic under the sun... and then some.
At Pitney Bowes, when we started looking for ways to open up direct dialogue with our customers, I knew I'd found my niche. We launched our forum in May of '08 and it's been growing ever since.
Where to from here? What can we do to make the forum more interesting and more useful? What other social media do you interact with? You tell me! -- that's the rule of the forum.

I have been using computers and the internet for as long as I can remember and I have been frequenting forums for the last several years. About 5 years ago the company I worked for launched their first forum and asked me to moderate for them, 3 years ago they moved location and I was made redundant and became a professional moderator.
I have been the moderator here on the Pitney Bowes forums since it was launched in April 08
When not sitting at the computer I enjoy getting out on by bicycle, playing squash, reading and a host of other things which I could list but would probably bore you all ![]()
Please reply to this thread and tell us (where appropriate) what sort of size company you work for, what machines you look after and a little about yourselves.
Cheers
Andrew

I am a Pitney Bowes employee. On the forum, my screen name is PB-Jeremy. The image of me was taken in the hallway of my house. Many know me as a "Lead Product Support Specialist" or "Go to Guy". I have my own little desk (a.k.a. alcove) in the office. It looks very similar to Captain Jean-Luc Picards office off of the bridge - minimal.
I drink to much soda, but it keeps me alert. I need to start drinking tea instead.
Outside of work, I spend a good amount of time rehearsing with my band and going to local or major concerts. Because of the level of noise that create's in my life, I offset that by gardening, listening to npr and reading.
Jeremy

Hi,
I bought my first computer in 1999 (Windows 98SE) and evolved from there. I began lurking on tech forums shortly after (Dell, Creative Labs, etc.) It wasn't until I bought my first PDA -- a Dell Axim X3 (in 2001)-- that I became a "forum junky". ![]()
I have since become a Super User on the ATT Wireless forums and frequent many other forums -- PB is my latest. I retired from the Postal Service on New Year's Eve, 2008 to devote more time to my passion in internet technology and am loving every minute of it.

Hi!
My name is Carol and I work for a CPA firm that does a year round business in the Cypress, CA area.
I'm in the forum to find out how much the ERR program costs per month/annual fee. Any assistance anyone could provide (since my Rep doesn't seem to be able to) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ![]()

I work for a corporation which provides services to other businesses. I oversee all incoming and outgoing mail for my company, although the volume of mail has decreased significantly over the past few year due to changes in the company's structure and procedures, and a decline in clientele. We use a DM200L postage meter.
I have been using the forum for over a year now and it has been my first experience participating in a forum. I don't remember the reason I began using the forum, but I have found it very helpful.
When I am not working, I like to relax by reading (especially about animals), solving puzzles of all sorts, and tending to my small garden.

Hello all!
My name is Steven. I work for a community bank here in Waynesboro, MS. We use the DM1000 mailing system and it is one of the easiest machines you could ever use for mailing! Pitney Bowes is the best company with wide-range of products, supplies, and as always tech support. They are always here for you online, phone, or on the machine itself with step-by-step instructions, or even in person with their salesguys and tech guys. They are always open for more situations to arise and a very well thought and planning team to help resolve issues.
PB is the BEST mail machine product to buy!!!
