making website better

Make it easier to change credit card used for postage online.  It is ridiculously hard to find the information, or maybe impossible.

Re: making website better

I am here trying to add postage to my meter using my credit card.  I cannot find the place to do so.

This is very frustrating.

Re: making website better

Just logged in to the website for the first time.  After logging in and apparently going to the next screen I saw absolutely no difference in the screens.  I couldn't even tell if I had logged in correctly.  On most sites I've been to, after logging in, the site acknowledges that I am now logged in with some sort of welcome, ie.,   "Welcome Jack"  or if on a business site, "Welcome America Corp"   I didn't know if I had logged in correctly until I finally found the "My profile" button, clicked on it and saw my company name.  Not too much to ask, I don't think.

Re: making website better

Thanks for the feedback, Skidroe. You're certainly correct that this kind of feedback is important not only as a welcome mat, but also to keep you aware of your progress through the tasks that brought you to the site.

A question so I understand what you're expeiencing:

Where did you log in? The PB.com home page? the login link in the upper right corner of the header? from the My Account page? the forum? somewhee else??

Re: making website better

I went to www.pb.com just to see what the site offered.  I found a place to log in; can't remember if it was upper right or upper left.  Logged in and I could see the screen change or blank out for a second, but then I was right back at the same screen, or at least something similar.  I'm just saying that if on the next screen after logging in there was a small sentence that said "Welcome back, America Corp" then I would know I had logged in successfully.

Skidroe,

When I log onto the PB website from the home page by clicking on the word "login" in the upper righthand corner, a little box pops up asking for my user name and password. After logging in, I see a message in large type announcing "Welcome to My Account, (first name)". Then, I'm able to navigate the entire website, where it indicates on each page that I'm still logged in. I'm not sure why it isn't working that way for you. I assume you're not seeing an error message. You might try selecting "My Account" on the menu at the top of the page and try logging in from there (it's a little bit different) and see if that works. There appears to be several ways of logging in. Good luck!

Re: making website better

Thanks, Karios.  I believe that's the way it should work; maybe I'm doing something wrong, but for two days in a row, I have not seen that welcoming message.  If it's working for everyone else, though, that's a good thing.  Must be operator error.  Take care.

Re: making website better

It would be really nice if you would make your site compatible with Firefox and other browsers.  I just hate having to stoop to using IE.

Re: making website better

CottonE -

Our policy is to support IE6+ and FF2+ and I generally find it looks & functions better in Firefox (which is my default browser).  If you are seeing pages that don't work in FF then they are broken -- please tell me what they are so we can fix them!!

We would appreciate it if anyone who sees pages that break in a particular browser would report them to us in the "Software and Web Applicaitons" forum --  be sure to include what browser/version and OS you are using. While we don't "officially" test and support Chrome, Safari, Opera, etc., we will make it work in all browsers where possible.

Thanks for your input!

   Mike
