It would be best if you keep a record of all the certified mail that is sent out to where you can go online and look the item back up by the tracking number. Once you press for the machine to CONNECT NOW, it will dial PB and it will upload everything that you have entered into PB website. This info for the mail pieces will not be available until the next day however.
Once you send this file off it wil go direct to PB and will be uploaded. If your machine does not ask for it to be connected, all you will need to do is press the FUNDS button and click GET POSTAGE BY PHONE BALANCE. This is a manual way to send the file off without waiting for it to update itself overnight. If this helps let me know bc i know sometimes we have to do that here with our machine.
It will also give a detailed description once the mail piece is on file. You can keep track of everything then from the time it is at Electronic Shipping Info Received all the way to the time it is Delivered.
The thing about keeping a sheet/record of everything sent, you can go and search by ZIP or by the tracking number itself.
