Certified Mail file feed for DM1100

Periodically we have to process several hundred certified mail pieces at a time.  We are looking at software applications to process the labels via a data file feed of the addresses.  We are also in the process of procuring a DM1100 as well for testing.  Can you tell me if the DM1100 can accept a file feed of addresses for certified mail processing?  We are looking for a streamlined approach.  Thanks.

Re: Certified Mail file feed for DM1100

Hello Mail-it!

Thanks so much for your question!

While a meeting to fully understand your application, volumes and needs is probably a good idea, let me share some initial thoughts relative to a solution that might work...

For import of a file for the purposes of streamlining the Certified Mail process, a carrier management solution (i.e., the Pitney Bowes Ascent or SendSuite solutions) would need to be included to manage a "file feed", thus eliminating the need to key-type enter address data.  A carrier management solution would also allow for additional detail, i.e., account chargeback or reference number directly from a file feed!

Kind regards,

Elizabeth
