system default DE00

I have been trying to add postage to the meter for 3 days now. It gets to the part of "adding postage, please wait" then goes to system default DE00.

Reset?

So I reset and still no postage. Any ideas? I have turned it off, unplugged it and the telephone line and plugged it all back in and tried again, and still not go. HELP! I am down to $70 postage.

Nels04,

Thank you for submitting your question.  There are a number of potential issues that may be causing your issues with connecting your meter.  First, which model of meter do you have?  They all work a little differently, but the basic concepts are the same.

 

Is the phone line that you're plugging the meter into a dedicated analog phone line?  The meter may not consistantly connect with digital or voice-over IP lines. 

 

Please give us any other details surrounding your machine so that I can get you a more specific answer.

It does have a dedicated analog line. The machine I have is a DM100i. It did finally work but I have this trouble every time I try to add postage or do updates or any thing else I made need to connect for.Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you for the follow up.

 

One product you may want to consider for your machine is our PC Connect software.  This allows you to connect to our Data Base via a USB connection to your PC.

I have been having the same problem for several weeks now. It is getting very annoying to not be able to add postage when needed.

I have been receiving the DE00 error all morning. I have a DM100i machine and the PC Connect Software. I've tried resetting the machine and the PC that it's connected to and the PC Connect Software shows that it connects to the PC, but I'm still getting the error.
Any ideas?

Hi ErinK,

 

Sorry for the delayed reply, that was my fault.

 

It sounds like this error is probably due to software or antivirus running on your pc.  Because there are many possibilities here, it would be best to speak to one of our service representatives at 1-800-522-0020 on this.
