network error EDE29

we are having problems with our K700 when trying to add postage, it connects and i get the message it is adding postage, but then it gives me a 'network error EDE29' message and needs to be restarted. have tested the analog line and it all works fine.

 

Any ideas?

Danbrame,

Thank you for posting your inquiry. 

 

This particular error is a time-out error.  It occurs when you have tried to connect to the Data Center and a previous or current error has interrupted the connection process.

 

If you get this error again press the C (Clear) button.  If nothing happens within 5 seconds, try rebooting the meter and wait a full three minutes.

If unresolved, check for printer jam.  If there is a printer jam, clear.  Remove ink cartridge and reseat print head.  Try refill/connection to Data Center again.
 

If no printer jam in meter, at that point it will be best for you to contact our Small Business Support line at 1-800-468-8454 to speak with an agent trained to troubleshoot this issue.
