Mailstation Assistant not downloading balance from PbP

In the past I've been able to download balance from the internet to my meter using Mailstation Assistant; now it keeps saying "checking balance" and stalls. 

Restarting software and/or meter (Mailstation 2) does not help. 

Software is up to date, but Mailstation Assistant gives no message when I try to update the meter or software.

 

I log on to my Postage by Phone account and it says I need to use an analog line to connect. 

What gives?

The issue that you are having sounds like your meter has not yet downloaded the most recent software version.  Try these steps to update your meter:

 

  • Disconnect the USB and connect again
  • Press enter on the meter when you get an error code displaying, the meter will reboot itself
  • Make sure the meter is on the main screen (the date and postage amount will be visible)
  • On the Mailstation Assistant click on the updates tab and then on "update meter"
  • It will then perform the update, click Done when it finishes

 

If you are still unable to view your balance on your meter after updating your software, we would advise that you call the Small Business Support line at 1-800-468-8454, options 1, 2 and 2 in the menu, to speak with a specialist trained on your machine.

- I have a K7MO...

- I upgraded the software to the most recent version

- I DO get the balances on my machine

- I do get internet, and all connections are GOOD..check mark ok...etc

 

 

ISSUE:

- when trying to update the rate... I click on the update, update begins, tells me about the rate change, starts Downloading..and then get stuck in there (the download process) with a loop... no download...no finish...no error...no percentage, never goes to next step TRASNFERRING FILES!!.

 

 

I have read pretty much every post on PB and other forums looking for an answer.

I have re-start, disconnect, reconect, play with USB, exit program, and try every combination of disconnect, exit, re-start, upgrade, update, windows, etc....

 

I consider myself a computer savvy person, proxy is not an issue, we use broadband, not phone line available where we are connecting, I even took firewall down just for PB to update.... could you please point me to the right direction.

 

I NEED:

- UPDATE THE RATE to May 11 new rate.

 

Anything else I should mention?
