I work for a non-profit organization and, as all non-profits tend to, we try to save money where we can. We just received a notice that we will be charged $54 for an update going from 41 cents to 42 cents. We really don't send out very many things besides letters, and we can easily remember to type that in ourselves since there are so few of us in the office. Is there anyway we can bypass being charged for this update?

Unfortunately for them the goal is making money and profit so that will probably not be an option but have you tried to contact your sales/service rep and see what you can work out with them?

It has come to our attention that there was a glitch in our Soft-Guard database. When letters were sent out to customers informing them to download their rates, many customers were inadvertently sent a letter indicating that they did not have Soft-Guard. An apology will be sent out to these customers explaining that this message was in error.
If you were not billed for the rates last year, or you believe that they are included with your system, you can find out if your meter is covered by Soft-Guard by logging into My Account. Instructions are here:
http://support.pb.com/ekip/index?page=home&type=fa q&id=0011414cb19e0104c0529949004d10
If you were sent this billable letter by mistake, you should also receive a correction letter soon. If you have not yet done so, please ensure that you download your rates.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. We will work to ensure this is corrected in the future.
