My DM1000 upgraded to version 19.02.01.  I received an email saying the download was successful and now I can take advantage of the latest features and enhancements.  What are the new features and enhancements in version 19.02.01 and how do I take advantage of them?

Thank you for your post.  The basic response to your question regarding your new features are your machine will include:

• Digital Meter Speed Increase--with the latest software the machine should see an increase in system speed of around 10%.
• Time and Date Envelope Stamping--the software update enables you to record the current time and date on any form or document, even your incoming mail.
• Custom Text Messaging--the ability to communicate any message you wish to have printed next to your indicia
• Increased Presets--the number of presets available increases from 10 to 25

Is this upgrade automatically sent out to every customer with a DM1000 or do we need to request it? As of today, I still have not received the upgrade when I perform the software download instructions.

Thank you for the follow up question.  No, the updgrade did not come automatically.  It was a marketing program that ran earlier this year, but is overwith now.  If you are interested in aquiring these features for your machine, you can contact our Sales line at 1-800-322-8000 to request a call from a field sales rep.

They should be able to get you these features at a very reasonable rate.

Quick question?? Can you combine "custom text" and "date and time stamp" features together?? In the

 past we had looked into the "date and time stamp" feature but it was no help to us because of the fact that you could not print our business name at the same time as the "date and time stamp" and we need it to reflect our name in the date time stamp for legal purposes. Thanks....

The short answer, if you're just interested if the function is possible, then the answer is yes.  It involves some maneuvering around on the meter.  If you'd like instructions on exactly how to do this, let me know and I can go work it out on the machine and get back to you.
