Thank you for your post!
There is not an option in the meter to change the sealing parameters based on the size of the envelope. The sealing mechanism is basically a moist brush which applies moisture to the envelope flap as it feeds through the mail machine.
The DM400/500/550 machine can sealing envelopes with flaps between 1" - 3".
Thank you,
Jeremy

How do we set the sealer parameter to OFF...the default is sealer on and we don't want the envelopes sealed unless needed specifically for that mailing. Our machine is a DM550.
Thank you

DM500 - DM1100 only
ACITexas,
Because most of the time you will want your sealer to be turned off, what you will want to do is turn the sealer off, and then immediately re-save your normal and custom presets. Basically, if you have the sealer turned on, and then you save a preset, the sealer will always be on when selecting that preset. The same is true if you have the sealer turned off.
You can turn the sealer off by pressing the seal button, and then selecting Sealer Off or Print Only. I would suggest following these directions to make sure the sealer is turned off for all of your presets.
Normal Preset
- Press the Normal Preset Key
- Turn the Sealer Off
- Save Normal Preset
Custom Presets
- Press the Custom Presets Key
- Select the first Custom Preset
- Turn the Sealer Off
- Save the Custom Preset
Repeat this for all of your custom presets.
Thank you,
Jeremy
