BE CAREFUL LOADING POSTAGE

I had just loaded $500 into my machine and it froze after approximately 100 42cent  mailings.  Pitney Bowes promised I would get a refund of my unused money when they replaced the machine. I called less than 2 hours after I loaded the money and this is documented.  My credit was only $219.50.  They refuse to give me the rest of my money and say I probably ran envelopes at $42.00!!.  I will no longer load that large of an amount and I have no recourse but to eat it.

Re: BE CAREFUL LOADING POSTAGE

I am sorry to hear about your trouble and unfortunately it is expected with PB as their customer service is awful. I was supposed to receive a scale and a credit for stamps and I called and was told it will be done. Still no scale and still no credit and its coming up on a month. I called again and was told that the person never processed it and now I have to just eat it. This is absolutely absurd and uncalled for. It sucks.

Re: BE CAREFUL LOADING POSTAGE

That would frustrate me too.  Did you have about 140.00 left on your meter at the time you downloaded the 500.00? If so then there might be a possibility that you ran the 100 letters at $4.20 instead of the $42.00 or .42.

I think the machines should record/keep record of how many, what types, costs of the mailings being sent. This way we would be able to retrieve that info from the machine or the website in our accounts. We would be able to see which account is sending what types of mailings and costs. It would also show/prove how you sent those 100 last mailings before the machine froze up.
