Wrong Date Printed

I go to the PO at noon time, and tried to change the date when I got back, so the letters will be printed with the next days' date, however one letter still got stamped with todays date.  If the PO does not accept this letter tomorrow, how can I fix it to assure that they will take the letter tomorrow to avoid a rejected letter?

Re: Wrong Date Printed

James,

When that has happened to me, I've printed a postage tape with the correct date but with $0.00 in postage. I affix the tape next to or under the existent stamp. The post office has never questioned this. I don't know what type of meter you have, but hope this will work for you.

Re: Wrong Date Printed

you don't need to  find a postal tape, just print the $0.00 with a proper date on the backside of the envelope.  you might remember seeing mail arive at your home like that.

Do the same if you need to ADD postage because the wrong amount was printed.  Just print the difference on the backside.
