Selling this

I run the Direct Mail department for my company and like Ricardo, I receive different databases from every customer I process mail for. In addition to all of his questions (which by the way Ricardo, GREAT questions :smileyhappy: ) I have an additional one! I belong to the Green Bay PCC and attend most of their gatherings. My MDA in Madison is a huge resource for me as well as my contact at our local BMEU. They've all been great in helping me understand the upcoming Move Update Regulations. However, in talking with some of my customers, especially the smaller ones. They've expressed concern with yet another cost to update their lists. What they are telling me is they may as well process their mailings in-house and send them out First-Class. Of course I try to convince them otherwise but mostly, to no avail. So that leaves me with lost revenue! Any suggestions as to how I can sell this to them?

Also, I use Postalsoft Desktop to process my mailings. Is VeriMove compatible with Postalsoft?

Thanks Much!

Re: Selling this

Hello there Nightbeacon2!

It is true, with this Move Update Standard, many mailers are re-evaluating their mailing processes, trying to determine what method(s) will meet their objectives at the most cost-effective price.

"Bringing their mailings in and sending them out First-Class" (at full rate) doesn't make real good business sense.  Without address hygiene software to standardize the addresses and apply barcodes, there is a risk of increased undeliverable as addressed mail, which is not good for business!  To that end, postage expenses increase!

Relative to your question about VeriMove.  Our VeriMove solution works in conjunction with the Pitney Bowes SmartMailer and AddressRight Pro addressing software solutions.

I live in the Green Bay area and on occasion attend the GB PCC events.  Perhaps I meet you some day!

Kind regards,

Elizabeth
