Hello Carrie!
As you see in the "conversations" on this Forum, to meet the Move Update Standard, your business or organization will need to implement one of the USPS-approved Move Update options. The options include:
- Ancillary Endorsements
- Address Change Service
- FASTforward
- NCOALink
- Alternative Methods for special situations
You can use one or a combination of these, depending on your mailing frequency and unique business needs.
If you provide me with information on what class of mail you're mailing at discount prices, i.e., First-Class Mail and/or Standard Mail, whether or not you're barcoding the mailings, the frequency that you mail to recipients, and the processing category (letter, flat or parcel) of your mailings, I can head you in the right direction.
Of course, our Pitney Bowes consultants are ready to provide you a complimentary consultation to assist you in determining which solution(s) will meet the Move Update Standard and make the best business sense for your company / organization.
Thank you!
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for your reply. We are currently set up with the postage discount program and run our mail first class at 39 cents. We do anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 mail pieces monthly.
Thanks,
Carrie

Good morning!
With the PSI / Pitney Bowes Postage Discount Program, your mail is probably running through FASTforward. You might want to double check on that to be sure. If that is the case, you'd meet the Move Update Standard.
Keep in mind that FASTforward only looks at 13 months of Change of Address history, so employing endorsements or even an NCOALink solution, might be a nice addition, especially if you're experiencing a lot of returned mail. (Just a thought....)
Kind regards,
Elizabeth

We actually do get quite a bit of returned mail so that is probably something we should look into. Are you able to give me information on the product or can you tell me where I should go?
Thanks a lot!

Good morning Carrie!
In addition to the FASTforward service that PSI offers, because you've got so much returned / UAA mail, you might want to consider the addition of an ancillary endorsement on your envelopes. That way, if FASTforward doesn't "catch" that move, i.e., outside of the 13 month history or something, you'll have another opportunity to clean up your database.
NCOALink before your create your mailpieces is another option.
Pub. 363 explains the approved updates in detail. This publication is being updated by the Postal Service. The current version though can be found on usps.com, use the search tool and type in "publications".
Good luck Carrie! Have a great day!
Elizabeth
