Mailing with a Return Envelope with Postage included

Sometimes I send out letters to people and need to include an envelope with postage on it for them to return their reply.  My question is, is it okay to use our postage meter to put postage on that envelope?  Our postage meter inclues the current date on its printout, and I 'm concerned that someone using that return envelope with an earlier date on it might be a problem with the post office.  I've looked in the manual for our postage machine and can't find where it says anywhere that the date feature can be temporarily disabled for situations such as this.

The USPS prefers that you don't include a date just for that reason.   Sorry but without seeing the manual, can't help you with that.

Boy, I'd love a java right now! :smileyvery-happy:

Anyway, USPS regulations do require you to omit the date for what is considered "meter reply mail".   So that you can do that, I will have your question moved to a Product Specialist.  They'll be able to tell you how to omit the date.

Thanks!
