I use a P700, dm100i

It is a huge pain in the neck to add postage by phone.

Since March 2009, every time I try to connect, it takes hours or even days to get a successful transmission.

Usually I get the message "No carrier detectd on line."

Sometimes it starts connecting, then the connection is broken.

Sometimes I get a message that the connection interface failed.

Sometimes I get a message that the modem connection with ATT failed.

 

I use a dedicated analog fax line. It's a working line (tested from your end and has connected at least three times to download postage since March).

 

Today I have been trying to connect for 4 hours so far.

I have used 4 different PB phone numbers (all given to me on previous help calls).

I have tried at various times with no prefix (not needed on our lines) and with a comma as a prefix.

Nothing solves this.

Once I had to come to the office when it was closed on a weekend to try connecting and I finally got through.

It shouldn't be this hard.

 

What else do you recommend?

I am ready to send the thing back and use a different vendor.

Sorry about all the hassle you have experienced with making the connection, it should definitely not be that difficult.  Could you take a look at this thread and let me know if this is helpful?
