When you are unable to connect to our server, you will receive one of a few various messages, such as "Network Task Exception Error", "Connection Lost" or "Connection to Intellilink has been dropped." These errors signify one of two main issues. Either there is an issue with the phone line or network connection you are using, or there is an improper setting in the mail machine that is causing this error.
If you have been able to make a connection to our server in the past, we would lean more towards this connection issue being a problem with your phone line or network connection. If you are using a phone line, it must be analog. If you are using an Ethernet cable, it is best to have it run directly from the meter to your network jack. It is best to have the phone line run straight from your wall outlet to the mail machine. If you have any splitter, DSL line or filter on your line, it is best to remove those while trying to make this connection. If you are using a wireless system, it is best to remove this system while trying to make this connection. Many times, the analog line from a fax machine works to make a connection.
If you are still having this issue after following these steps, you will want to place a service request. This can be done by going to www.pb.com, and logging in (or register if you do not have a username and password). Then, click on View Your Products, click on the Serial Number of your Mail Machine, and click on Request On Site Service.
